Flock, Hanna (*1979) Germany
Hanna Flock was born in Ilmenau in 1979 and studied at the College of Music "Franz Liszt" in Weimar with the professors Joachim Beez and Andre Schmidt from 1997 to 2003. There and at the University of Erfurt, she graduated with the first state exam for the school subjects music and English. In 2005 she concluded the preparatory service at the Studienseminar Eisenach with the second state exam. In 2010, she received the teaching position for music didactics at the University of Erfurt.
In 2004 she founded the duo "JANNA" with the guitarist Joachim Rosenbrück which can look back at a successful concert activity and whose productions were published by the media all over Germany. Next to her concert and teaching activities, her commitment to modern forms of choral work in the Thüringer Saengerbund (Thuringian singers’ association) form another central point of her work.
In her choral arrangements she shows a fine feeling for structures and weighting of voices and a particular sense for melody. Her interest lies in the modern interpretation of German and international folk songs.
