Nebe, Nico (*1968) Germany
He is a long-standing conductor of the chamber choir "Belcanto" Zwickau and of the male choir "Liederkranz" Zwickau 1843. Under his direction, both ensembles have won numerous prizes and diplomas at national and international competitions. In the context with these competitions, Nico Nebe was repeatedly awarded several conductor prizes. Since 2020 he has also been directing the women's choir in Reichenbach im Vogtland.
As President of the West Saxon Choral Society (Westsächsischer Chorverband) he has been closely linked with the choral work in Saxony since 2002.
Furthermore, he regularly acts as a juror at national and international choir competitions, leads choral conducting workshops in the Free State of Saxony and works as a lecturer at the Saxon Choir Conductor's Seminar.
In 2016, Nico Nebe was awarded the title "Choir Director BDC" by the Federal Association of German Choral Societies, a prize for outstanding artistic achievements to especially successful choirmasters.
In 2019 he was appointed country choirmaster of the Saxon Choir Association. In 2021 he received the title “Music Director FDC” from the Professional Association of Choral Conducters.
