Petri, Siegfried (*1963) Austria

Siegfried Petri, born in 1963 in Schwanenstadt (Upper Austria), studied at the College of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna from 1982 to1988. After receiving the teaching qualification in the subject organ music (1985), the certificates for protestant church music followed in 1986 and for concert organ in 1988.
Apart from his teaching activities at the State Music School in Upper Austria, Siegfried Petri finished the Master of Arts degree at the College of Music in Vienna.
After a ten-year-choirmaster's activity in the parish of Sangerhausen, Petri was appointed church music director of the church district Chemnitz and cantor in the Saint Petri Castle Church Parish in Chemnitz in 2003.
